Set up in a few minutes.
No technical skills needed. You'll download TeaserKit, open it, connect the AI you already use, and make your first launch video.

1 · Download and open
Download
Go to the download page, paste the license key from your receipt email, and save the zip file.
Unzip it somewhere permanent
Your Documents folder is a good place. Don't run it from inside the zip or your Downloads folder, which some computers clean up.
Double-click to open
Windows: double-click
Start TeaserKit.cmd. If Windows asks whether to run it, choose Run (or More info → Run anyway).Mac: right-click
Start TeaserKit.command, choose Open, then Open again. You only do this the first time.Linux: run
sh launcher/start.shin the folder.TeaserKit opens in your web browser. Keep the small black window open while you use it; closing it closes TeaserKit.
Activate
Paste your license key again and press Activate. It works on up to three computers.
2 · Connect your AI
TeaserKit uses an AI you already have to make each video. Pick the first option that fits you:
Choose “ChatGPT plan”
- Click Sign in with ChatGPT.
- OpenAI's normal sign-in page opens. Log in and approve.
- Come back to TeaserKit. That's it: videos use your plan's normal limits, with nothing extra to pay.
Choose “Claude plan”
- You need Claude Code, which comes with your plan. Get it from claude.ai/code if you don't have it yet.
- In TeaserKit, choose Claude plan and press Save. TeaserKit sets itself up inside Claude Code for you.
- When you make a video, TeaserKit shows one line to copy. Click Open Claude Code, paste it, press Enter. TeaserKit follows along and shows the video when it's done.
Why the extra step? Anthropic doesn't let other apps sign in with a Claude plan, so the video is made inside Claude Code itself.
Choose your agent's plan
- In TeaserKit, choose Cursor plan, Antigravity, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot or Windsurf plan and press Save. TeaserKit installs its director skill where that agent looks.
- When you make a video, TeaserKit shows one line to copy. Click Open (or open your TeaserKit folder in the agent yourself), paste the line into the agent's chat, press Enter.
- Pick the agent's strongest model and let it run terminal commands without asking each time. TeaserKit follows along and shows the video when it's done.
Same reason as Claude: these plans can't be used by other apps, so the video is made inside your agent, on the plan you already pay for.
Use an API key
An API key is a password that lets TeaserKit use an AI on your account. You pay the AI company only for what each video uses. We recommend Claude, which makes the best videos:
- Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account.
- Open Billing and add some credit ($10–20 is plenty to start).
- Open API keys, click Create key, and copy it. It starts with
sk-ant-. - In TeaserKit choose Claude, paste the key, and press Save. TeaserKit checks the key and picks the best model for you.
Prefer another AI? Choose GPT, Gemini, Grok, Kimi, GLM, DeepSeek, Qwen or OpenRouter instead. Each one has a get one ↗ link next to its key box that opens the right page.
You stay in control of cost. Each video stops at a spending cap you choose ($15 by default), and TeaserKit shows what it has spent while it works. Your key is saved only on your computer and is only ever sent to that AI company.
You can switch AI any time in Settings.
The first-time check
After you pick your AI, TeaserKit checks your computer and downloads what it's missing, about 300 MB the first time. It can take a few minutes; leave the page open. If anything shows a red mark, there's a button to fix it.
3 · Your first video
Describe the video, or paste your website link
A sentence or two is enough ("a 15-second Instagram ad for my invoicing app"), or a link like
https://yourproduct.com, or both. Tap a starter (ad, explainer, recap…) to begin from a template.Say what it should say (optional)
One sentence is enough: “We're launching v2 today. The big thing: invoices send themselves.”
Add your logo and screenshots (optional)
Drag them into the box. This matters most if your product is behind a login, because TeaserKit can only see your public pages.
Pick a look, or let TeaserKit choose
“Director's pick” is a great default. Choose 16:9 for X, LinkedIn and your site, or tick “Also make a 9:16 cut” for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
Want a voiceover? (optional)
Turn on Voiceover + captions. For a natural, human-sounding voice, paste an ElevenLabs API key in Settings once. Without one, TeaserKit uses a built-in voice.
Press Direct it
A 30-second video usually takes 20 to 45 minutes. You can watch every step, or do something else; TeaserKit notifies you when it's done.
Download, or ask for changes
Press Download MP4. Want something different? Type it in plain words, like “make the ending punchier” or “use our green instead of orange”, and press Send.
Every video is saved in the TeaserKit/videos folder in your home folder.
4 · Or: use it inside your coding agent
Prefer to stay in your own agent, without the Studio? TeaserKit is a skill (the open Agent Skills format), so it works inside Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf and OpenCode.
Install it into your agents
In the TeaserKit folder you unzipped, double-click Install TeaserKit into my agents (
.cmdon Windows,.commandon Mac; the first time on a Mac: right-click → Open → Open). It finds every agent on your computer and puts the skill where each one looks, then creates yourTeaserKit/videosfolder. Restart your agent afterwards. Do it again after each update.Check two tools (the skill checks for you)
Your agent needs Node.js 22 or newer and FFmpeg (Windows:
winget install Gyan.FFmpeg· Mac:brew install ffmpeg· Linux:sudo apt install ffmpeg). The Studio brings its own copies; inside your agent, the ones on your computer are used. If one is missing, the skill's first step says exactly what to run. The first video also downloads the video engine and a browser to render with (about 300 MB, once).Open your agent in your TeaserKit folder
The
TeaserKitfolder in your home folder. In Cursor, Antigravity, VS Code or Windsurf: File → Open Folder. In Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI: open a terminal there and start the agent. Pick its strongest model, and let it run terminal commands without asking each time, or it will stop at every step.Ask for your video
Claude Code:
/teaserkit https://yourproduct.com "We're launching v2: invoices send themselves" length=30Any other agent:
Use the teaserkit skill to make a 30-second launch film for https://yourproduct.com. It should say: we're launching v2, invoices send themselves. No website? Describe it:
Use the teaserkit skill to make a 15-second Instagram ad for my bakery's new sourdough, 9:16.You can add length (15, 30, 60), shape (16:9, 9:16, 1:1), a style, music (electronic, hip-hop, cinematic, chill, calm), a voiceover, and your logo or screenshots (give their file paths).Let it work, then change it
A 30-second film usually takes 20 to 45 minutes. It's saved in
TeaserKit/videos/<name>/renders/(and shows up in the Studio's library if you also use it). To change it, ask in the same agent:Use the teaserkit skill to revise videos/<name>: make the ending punchier. For the vertical version:Use the teaserkit-vertical skill on videos/<name>.
| Agent | Where the skill goes | How to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | ~/.claude/skills | /teaserkit … |
| Codex | ~/.codex/skills, ~/.agents/skills | “Use the teaserkit skill to …” |
| Cursor | ~/.cursor/skills | in the Agent chat |
| Antigravity | ~/.gemini/config/skills | in the Agent panel |
| Gemini CLI | ~/.gemini/skills | “Use the teaserkit skill to …” |
| GitHub Copilot | ~/.copilot/skills | Copilot Chat, Agent mode |
| Windsurf | ~/.codeium/windsurf/skills | in Cascade |
| OpenCode | ~/.config/opencode/skills | “Use the teaserkit skill to …” |
If your agent says it can't find the skill, point it at the file: Read ~/.agents/skills/teaserkit/SKILL.md and follow it to make …. Claude Code users can also add TeaserKit as a plugin: /plugin marketplace add <your TeaserKit folder>, then /plugin install teaserkit@teaserkit, which gives /teaserkit:direct and /teaserkit:vertical.
If something goes wrong
It says my license key wasn't found
Copy the key straight from your receipt email (the one from Dodo Payments) and paste it without extra spaces. If it still fails, reply to that email and we'll sort it out.
It says my API key was rejected
- Make sure you copied the whole key.
- Make sure your account has credit (most AI companies need a small top-up before keys work).
- Create a fresh key with the get one ↗ link and paste it again.
A check shows “FFmpeg” in red
Click Install FFmpeg for me. It takes about a minute.
The first-time check is taking a long time
The first run downloads about 300 MB. On a slow connection that can take several minutes. Leave the page open; later runs are quick.
My video stopped at the spending cap
Open Settings, raise the cap, then press Resume on the video. It continues where it stopped.
ChatGPT says I've hit my usage limit
Your plan's limit resets after a while. Press Resume later, or switch to an API key in Settings to finish now.
The Claude Code button doesn't open anything
Claude Code isn't installed yet. Get it from claude.ai/code, sign in with your Claude account, then press the button again.
The page closed or the black window disappeared
Double-click Start TeaserKit again. Your videos and settings are kept, and a running video can be continued with Resume.
Mac says it can't open the file
Right-click Start TeaserKit.command, choose Open, then Open again. macOS asks this once for apps downloaded from the internet.
