Set up in a few minutes.
No technical skills needed. You'll download TeaserKit, open it, connect the AI you already use, and make your first launch video.
1 · Download and open
Download
Go to the download page, paste the license key from your receipt email, and save the zip file.
Unzip it somewhere permanent
Your Documents folder is a good place. Don't run it from inside the zip or your Downloads folder, which some computers clean up.
Double-click to open
Windows: double-click
Start TeaserKit.cmd. If Windows asks whether to run it, choose Run (or More info → Run anyway).Mac: right-click
Start TeaserKit.command, choose Open, then Open again. You only do this the first time.Linux: run
sh launcher/start.shin the folder.TeaserKit opens in your web browser. Keep the small black window open while you use it; closing it closes TeaserKit.
Activate
Paste your license key again and press Activate. It works on up to three computers.
2 · Connect your AI
TeaserKit uses an AI you already have to make each video. Pick the first option that fits you:
Choose “ChatGPT plan”
- Click Sign in with ChatGPT.
- OpenAI's normal sign-in page opens. Log in and approve.
- Come back to TeaserKit. That's it: videos use your plan's normal limits, with nothing extra to pay.
Choose “Claude plan”
- You need Claude Code, which comes with your plan. Get it from claude.ai/code if you don't have it yet.
- In TeaserKit, choose Claude plan and press Save. TeaserKit sets itself up inside Claude Code for you.
- When you make a video, TeaserKit shows one line to copy. Click Open Claude Code, paste it, press Enter. TeaserKit follows along and shows the video when it's done.
Why the extra step? Anthropic doesn't let other apps sign in with a Claude plan, so the video is made inside Claude Code itself.
Use an API key
An API key is a password that lets TeaserKit use an AI on your account. You pay the AI company only for what each video uses. We recommend Claude, which makes the best videos:
- Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account.
- Open Billing and add some credit ($10–20 is plenty to start).
- Open API keys, click Create key, and copy it. It starts with
sk-ant-. - In TeaserKit choose Claude, paste the key, and press Save. TeaserKit checks the key and picks the best model for you.
Prefer another AI? Choose GPT, Gemini, Grok, Kimi, GLM, DeepSeek, Qwen or OpenRouter instead. Each one has a get one ↗ link next to its key box that opens the right page.
You stay in control of cost. Each video stops at a spending cap you choose ($15 by default), and TeaserKit shows what it has spent while it works. Your key is saved only on your computer and is only ever sent to that AI company.
You can switch AI any time in Settings.
The first-time check
After you pick your AI, TeaserKit checks your computer and downloads what it's missing, about 300 MB the first time. It can take a few minutes; leave the page open. If anything shows a red mark, there's a button to fix it.
3 · Your first video
Paste your website link
For example
https://yourproduct.com.Say what it should say (optional)
One sentence is enough: “We're launching v2 today. The big thing: invoices send themselves.”
Add your logo and screenshots (optional)
Drag them into the box. This matters most if your product is behind a login, because TeaserKit can only see your public pages.
Pick a look, or let TeaserKit choose
“Director's pick” is a great default. Choose 16:9 for X, LinkedIn and your site, or tick “Also make a 9:16 cut” for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
Want a voiceover? (optional)
Turn on Voiceover + captions. For a natural, human-sounding voice, paste an ElevenLabs API key in Settings once. Without one, TeaserKit uses a built-in voice.
Press Direct it
A 30-second video usually takes 20 to 45 minutes. You can watch every step, or do something else; TeaserKit notifies you when it's done.
Download, or ask for changes
Press Download MP4. Want something different? Type it in plain words, like “make the ending punchier” or “use our green instead of orange”, and press Send.
Every video is saved in the TeaserKit/videos folder in your home folder.
If something goes wrong
It says my license key wasn't found
Copy the key straight from your receipt email (the one from Dodo Payments) and paste it without extra spaces. If it still fails, reply to that email and we'll sort it out.
It says my API key was rejected
- Make sure you copied the whole key.
- Make sure your account has credit (most AI companies need a small top-up before keys work).
- Create a fresh key with the get one ↗ link and paste it again.
A check shows “FFmpeg” in red
Click Install FFmpeg for me. It takes about a minute.
The first-time check is taking a long time
The first run downloads about 300 MB. On a slow connection that can take several minutes. Leave the page open; later runs are quick.
My video stopped at the spending cap
Open Settings, raise the cap, then press Resume on the video. It continues where it stopped.
ChatGPT says I've hit my usage limit
Your plan's limit resets after a while. Press Resume later, or switch to an API key in Settings to finish now.
The Claude Code button doesn't open anything
Claude Code isn't installed yet. Get it from claude.ai/code, sign in with your Claude account, then press the button again.
The page closed or the black window disappeared
Double-click Start TeaserKit again. Your videos and settings are kept, and a running video can be continued with Resume.
Mac says it can't open the file
Right-click Start TeaserKit.command, choose Open, then Open again. macOS asks this once for apps downloaded from the internet.
Still stuck? Reply to your receipt email or DM @AdarshSubham1 on X. If TeaserKit doesn't work for you, you get a full refund within 14 days.
